AMDAP was started in 2017 to fill a need. Assistant Physicians were relatively unknown at the time and a website dedicated to showcasing this vanguard community was need. This site provides free information about Assistant Physician such as the basics, frequently asked questions, legislative updates, and employment guides.

I am currently an Assistant Physician in Missouri. Like so many others, I was affected by the shortage of residency seats in the U.S. This license has provided me with a means to care for patients in under-served areas that would otherwise have been neglected or marginalized. Assistant Physicians have done so much good in the world.
